Man threatened with knife in Winsford

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was threatened with knife in Winsford.
The 25-year-old victim was walking along Queensway at around 10.30pm on Sunday, February 19.
As he walked past the alleyway, leading to the Winsford Lifestyle centre, he spotted five or six men emerging from the narrow path.
Police say the men looked around the age of 18 to 20 and were all wearing hoods and tracksuits.
As the man walked past one of them demanded money and produced a knife about 15cm long.
The victim ran off along Queensway and sought refuge at St Luke’s Hospice, just a short distance away.
He spoke to staff via the intercom, who then called the police.
The offender who produced the knife is described as male, aged 18-20 years old, small and of stocky build wearing light coloured tracksuit bottoms, a black hooded top with a scarf pulled up over his face. He is also described as having a deep voice.
