CHRIS Willcock starts his second term in the dugout at Winsford United with a trip to Lancashire to take on Formby.
His new-look team will want to avoid the same fate as Tony Ennion’s men last season after they were thrashed 5-1 in March.
The ex-Nantwich Town youth team boss left Barton Stadium soon afterwards.
Willcock may hand debuts to new faces such as Lee Jones, Colin McAllister, Christian Morris and Steve Smith, plus returnee Ryan Stewart.
He will pick between ex-Warrington Town custodian Richie Mottram and Lee Grannell between the posts.
But Lee Duckworth (knee) is an injury doubt.
Hosts Formby finished 15th in the Premier Division last term, five points and four places better off than Winsford.
But ambitious new manager Gary Martindale, who replaced Mark Maddox last month, has targeted a top half finish this time around.
”I’ve got big aims and big goals for this club and I’ve told the lads everyone is starting from scratch,” he said upon his appointment.
”I’m not interested in what happened last season, I’m only bothered about people who will train hard and want to be in that first team. I don’t want to just stabilise the club, I want much more.”
